Tesla has always been at the forefront of electric car technology, and its new models and updates for 2022 are no exception. These cars have unique features that will blow you away! They are environmentally friendly and sleek looking, but they also come equipped with some of the latest gadgets and technology. While some of their older models are still getting updates, this car company also has other brand new models! So here is a sneak peek at some of the features you can expect to find in the fleet of Tesla models this year!
2022 Performance Model Y

The 2022 Model Y Performance boasts several new features. It has a motor for each axle, and it goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The car has a driving distance of around 300 miles on a full charge. This updated model comes standard with 21″ Uber Turbine wheels, performance brakes, lowered suspension, and aluminum alloy pedals. At night or dusk, the 2022 Performance Model Y has the option of a red exterior paint that changes color depending on how it is illuminated – different in sunlight vs. at night or dusk.
The Performance Model Y’s center touchscreen is 15 inches, with a navigation map. Tesla gives new Tesla owners one month of premium connectivity for free. The cabin has been updated, with a large wireless charging spot for two phones. The rearview mirror provides limited vision, but Tesla has cameras around the vehicle that assist with visibility, making the back window almost unnecessary! This Tesla is being upgraded to a second-generation quad-core AMD Ryzen processor, which will make the Tesla touch screen and software much quicker and more responsive.
2022 Model S

In 2021, ten years after its debut, Tesla re-released the improved Tesla Model S. This new version comes with a new design, an updated interior, increased power for range and speed, and a bunch of new gadgets. The all-new, updated 2022 Tesla Model S has a lot to take in in terms of appearance, function, and even cost. The Tesla Model S Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive has a peak output of 670 bhp, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.1 seconds. The EPA predicts that the model’s range will be 375 miles.
A noticeable addition to the front cab area is the big 17-inch display screen, which stands out compared to the previous version’s smaller instrument cluster. Wireless charging pads for driver and passenger are visible immediately beneath the screen. The console cover conceals cup holders and storage. With a touchscreen rear display, function and entertainment are now within reach of the back seat passengers. You may also access rear fan controls through the touchscreen. You may fold down the rear seats to offer greater interior passenger convenience by deploying a pull-down armrest to reveal cup holders, charging stations, and modest storage.
Tesla’s software update, version 2022.4, was released in January. As a result, the Model S (and X) has received a facelift with Autopilot improvements. In the 2022.4 Release Notes, Autopilot will now use more regenerative braking at lower speeds for greater efficiency and a better driving experience, especially in stop-and-go traffic. The notes state that using regenerative braking more frequently reduces brake pedal noise and makes stops smoother.
