You can get more flies with honey than with vinegar. You have probably heard that quotation a hundred times or more, Leo. It's an overused cliché for sure, and besides, you aren't seeking to attract flies anyway. However, there is something you want, and you may be feeling angry about having to approach someone who has some level of authority and who can grant or deny you what you want. Get out the honey! Speak kindly, respectfully, and hopefully, and you will have a significantly better chance of success.
