BMW Motorrad has recalled two of its motorcycle models in the United States. The BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles have been brought back by the company to remove the gaps in their brakes.
Customers had complained
Customers of both these motorcycle models complained that they were hearing strange sounds when applying the brakes. At the same time, it feels slow when braking, which gives poorer performance and customers are not able to enjoy bike riding. According to the report, BMW has recalled 2,781 units of G 310 GS bike and 2,741 units of G 310 R.
Manufacturing took place in these years
According to the report, the recalled models have been prepared between the year 2017 and 2019. Those who have purchased both these models in the US in this time period will be able to get the brakes fixed by visiting the BMW Motorrad dealerships.
The repair will be free
According to the report, customers buying these motorcycles will not need to pay any kind of money to get brake repair as the drawback has come from the company, so the repair company will do the brakes for free. The recall will begin in early October.
Customers can also get BMW C 400 X scooter repaired
Apart from both the motorcycles, customers can also get the brakes repaired for the BMW C 400 X scooter (2019 model). According to the report, 416 units of this scooter have also been recalled.
BMW should take care of customers
BMW should maintain the quality of freight and rear brake calipers and pistons. If their quality is missed then it can lead to dangerous results.
